Matt has over 20 years of experience providing audit and accounting services to publicly traded and privately held companies ranging in size from development-stage entities to Fortune 500 companies. He has developed a broad and extensive background serving organizations in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, technology, financial institution industries, as well as organizations with private equity ownership. Matt is committed to delivering first class service to each of his clients. 

Matt's experience includes financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, agreed upon procedures, and consultation on complex accounting and financial reporting matters such as derivatives, mergers and acquisitions, revenue recognition, expected credit losses, and other technical accounting areas. He is well-versed in performing employee benefit plan audits, including audits of defined benefit and defined contribution plans. He also has experience with respect to the relevant accounting for certain plan events that impact the plan sponsor, such as plan terminations, settlements, and curtailments.

Matt routinely participates in the presentation of technical accounting training, both internally and externally, on topics such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, accounting for expected credit losses, and other audit and accounting matters. Additionally, he serves on the firm's Audit Efficiency Task Force. 

Prior to joining SEK, Matt spent approximately 20 years split between two different international accounting firms, the last five years serving as a Director.
